How much profit can be made in intraday trading

How much profit you can make in intraday depends on your position size

Sun Dec 18, 2022

There are many types of trade in which the quantity and lot may be different.

Most of the two types of trading are done in India, I will tell about it.

There is no fixed size for buying shares in cash, you can also take 1 quantity in shares.

If I talk about future and options, then there is a lot size in it, that means you will not have to take one share, but you will have to take as much as the lot size and it will count in 1 lot.

For example, suppose you bought 20 share @ 100 and its price increased by 2% i.e. 102, then you will get a profit of Rs 2 per share.

Total Profit will be = profit per share x number of share 20 ( 2 x 20=  40)

If I talk about nifty option then there is a lot of 50 quantity

If you buy 1 lot of nifty at 100 and its price increases by 5% i.e. by 5 rupees, then you will get a profit of 50 rupees for every 1 rupee increase.

For example, Buy price 100 rupees now price is 105 rupees then gain is 5 rupees and you have 1 lot and lot quantity is 50 then total profit will be 5 x 50 = 250 rupees

Let us understand with another example:

If you buy 100 shares at the price of 1000 Rs. and it increases by 10 Rs. i.e. becomes 110 then you will get profit of 10 Rs. per share and you have 100 shares.

Then total profit will be 10 x 100 = 1000 Rs.
